I saw it on Instagram all the time, when I found out it wasn’t far from NYC I had to go. Otto and I explore Grossinger's Resort, abandoned since the mid 80s and was the inspiration for the resort in the classic movie Dirty Dancing.

Yup, didn't know a single person there, but I stepped outside my comfort zone and got out and met people! Here are some of the highlights of my week.

Astor Place in NYC has a ton of history, but have you ever noticed its beavers?
TWA Terminal at JFK: Final Days - Eero Saarinen's TWA Flight Center
The TWA Terminal, designed by Eero Saarinen, must have looked out of this world when it opened in 1962. It's so sad that Eero never got to see it before he died.
This was mostly shot during my visit there October 2015, the last day the public could view the building prior to it becoming a hotel.

Otto and I take a little sailing excursion out in the harbor, well kind of sailing, you could hear the engines the entire time...
AND we have a few too many drinks, what a great time.
The brewery featured on the boat was Bronx Brewing, a solid brewery!
Im so scared!!! Cliff jumping at Fawns Leap
My friend One-Eyed Mike picks up Otto and me to head up to Fawns Leap, 2 hours outside of the city. After some beers and some minor injuries all I can say is we had a great time!
SECRETS UNDER GRAND CENTRAL
Ill take you down to the sub basement where the Metro North Railroad gets its power and tell you about the story of how the Natzis tried to destroy it in WW2. Then we go underground and dodge the third rail to find the abandoned FDR train car.
This entire video including photos was all done on the iPhone6. I also used a Gimble (stabilizer), a lapel microphone, and the Ollo Clip iPhone lenses.

Jay and I tool around in Buffalo and Niagara Falls for a bit while listening to TRINA. We try some Canadian candy bars and hit the local breweries on both sides of the border.
